Waverly Hills Sanatorium


The original Waverly Hills Sanatorium, a two-story wooden structure, was opened in 1910, but the larger brick and concrete structure as it stand today was completed in 1926. The hospital was always dedicated to the treatment of tuberculosis patients, a disease that was fairly common in the early 20th Century.

Alcatraz Hauntings


One of the most haunted places in the world is Alcatraz Island. Mainly because of the prison located the island. Before the prison was even built paranormal activities occurred. The island has a history of being thought as evil. Before the prison was built the natives that used the island for isolation viewed the island as having a mist of evil cast upon it. After the construction of the prison more bizarre happenings came about (Spring). Whether or not the island is really haunted is still a mystery. Nobody can really say whether or not the island is really haunted. It’s really based on one’s opinions if they believe in the paranormal or not.

The Haunted Tower of London


Out of all this scary places in London to visit the Tower of London has to be top the list. If only because it is one of the most famously haunted places in the entire world, the Tower of London has been nicknamed the bloody Tower. The Tower of London, dating back over 900 years, is known as one of the most haunted places in Britain. In 1078, the first stone section of the tower was built and commissioned by William the Conqueror. It slowly morphed over time with additional structures and towers being added. Like Alcatraz, much human suffering went on within the cold stone walls including executions, imprisonment and torture. It wasn't just reserved for the lowly criminal but for the famous and powerful as well. Social stature mattered not for the Tower of London!
